A short story Part 1 (Work in Progress)

WIP TITLE:
THE SWEETEST PINEAPPLE / THE CROWING ROOSTER / THE ROOSTER CROWS IN THE AFTERNOON / YELLOW-SKINNED BANANA

Little Destiny sits staring at the yellowish-white goeey concoction. Her legs are barely reaching the ground. Granny is in the kitchen. Steam is coming out from the kettle spout. More and more steam floats and evaporates into the air.

Little Destiny keeps staring at the concoction. Beside the tiny red bowl is an orange plastic soup spoon. There is a soya sauce plate and a mini pepper jar at the side. Little Destiny eyes the red cup and saucer. She grabs it without further delay. She clumsily gulps the chocolate drink. A look of satisfaction is on her face. She wipes the chocolate stain from her mouth.

Granny comes out from the kitchen with a mug of Chinese tea. Little Destiny looks at Granny. She looks back at the yellowish-white gooey concoction. Granny adds the soya sauce and pepper into the yellowish goo. She mixes the whole thing up - the black from the soya sauce staining the yellowish goo. Little Destiny's mouth begins to form a frown. Granny puts down the orange plastic spoon. Little Destiny looks at Granny again. Granny takes a seat.

Little Destiny swings her tiny, plump legs. She tries to get down but is unable too. The three plastic chairs are stacked high and she is sitting right on top. There is no way she is able to escape this time. Granny will make sure she eats the yucky half boiled egg.
