Jom jadi Vegan!

My first visit to Guan Yin, PJ for vegetarian cuisine. Once in awhile it's good to go on a vege diet, it helps to detoxify the body. As a former TAR College student, I recall having vegetarian mixed rice for lunch at an absurdly cheap price of RM 1.70. Mind you, we could pick 2 dishes plus rice. If you wanted 3 dishes, then you pay RM 2.00 (still cheap, right?)

Yes, if vegetarian fare can look this appetizing each time, I'll definitely be a vegan. This, my dear readers is vegetarian barbecued pork (char siew) served at Guan Yin. Look at those cute baos (Chinese bread) by the side. This dish is eaten ala sandwich style - just place some char siew in between the bao. Alternatively the char siew is eaten with white rice. Voila, simply delicious!

This is another unique vegetarian dish - ginkgoes with gee, I forgot what are the rest of the ingredients :p The gravy is really yummy.

Thank you SYM and Uncle Tan for bringing me there for such a scrumptious meal ^^
