Love others as well as thyself

"I went to watch 2 movies just now," I told my colleague.
"Who did you go with?" she asked.
"I went alone," I replied.
"Hah? Are you nuts, going alone?" she replied.

Frankly this isn't a first for me. I've often gone for movie screenings by myself, especially when the slot's in the morning or afternoon. I've even gone shopping by myself, not once, twice but numerous times.

I understand that for some people, it's utterly ridiculous to watch alone. Isn't it embarassing
to be seen buying a movie tix for one person? Shopping with friends and family would be tonnes
more fun, right? Don't get me wrong, I enjoy hanging out with friends and family members but
there are times when a girl's gotta be by herself.
